Storytelling comes in numerous stripes, from a 1000-word feature story or video script all the way to a 280-character tweet or snippet of text on a mobile screen. And anything in between. Here’s a selection of stories—long form, short form, and video—I’ve crafted for clients in Los Angeles, New York, Silicon Valley and London. Or simply on spec.
long form
Sometimes telling the story takes more words. I’ve written (or ghost written) many feature articles, blog posts, synopses and other long-form pieces for tech, business, and film clients through agencies such as The Writer, Golin, Waggener Edstrom, and The In-House Writer.
video
Writing screenplays in LA honed my video scripting skills. I also have soup-to-nuts field production skills—from pre-production (scouting locations, sourcing SMEs, scheduling) through interviewing subjects (in some cases bilingually), collabing with videographer and crew members, scripting, and helping to shape the story in post.
short form
Writing copy for websites, social media, and mobile apps is a little like crafting a haiku. Pithiness is everything. I’ve done all of the above for clients such as Cisco, Intuit, and American Express.
